Preparation to Jeju

What we need to know and prepare before going to Jeju Island? Certainly for foreigners is a passport, money, hotel booking and tickets in-out of Jeju Island πŸ˜„ then, do we need a visa to Jeju Island? The answer is no need a visa (a.k.a free visa) for approximately 169 countries, but foreigners without a South Korea visa still cannot enter the mainland like Seoul, Busan, etc. In other words, only can stay in Jeju Island πŸ˜‰ except for your countries who have diplomatic agreements for free visas to South Korea mainland that you can check on the embassy of South Korea's website πŸ˜‰πŸ‘Œ

Anyhow, if you have a South Korea visa, you can go to Jeju Island via mainland like Incheon airport or Gimhae airport. However, if you don't have a visa, and you want to use a free visa, from Indonesia there are two ways to get to Jeju Island without going through Korean mainland, first is by using Airasia X (transit in Kuala Lumpur) and second is through Hong Kong by using Garuda Indonesia or Cathay Pacific then continued by using Jeju Air and HK Express πŸ˜„

Personally, if I don't want to go to mainland, I prefer to use Airasia because the price is also much more affordable. Sometimes when Airasia gave big promotions, the round-way price to Jeju Island can be around USD 210++, cheap right? πŸ˜‚ and yes it's cheaper compare to transit via Hong Kong or via mainland (Seoul / Busan) HEHEHE ~ and don't worry, until I post my story now, Jeju Island is still free visa for 169 countries including Indonesia and many other countries πŸ˜‰

And, don't forget to prepare cash even though almost the majority of places in Korea can accept payments using cards. But I think, cash is also needed if you want to eat on street food or take public transportation such as buses and taxis πŸ˜„ and for cash, I always choose to withdraw cash rather than exchange dollars at the money changer because the rate is more good. Recommended! πŸ‘

Meanwhile when all of the above list have been prepared, the last thing that we need to prepare is a travel itinerary and mentality also our health to be able to trip without obstacles πŸ˜„ so, what are the interesting places in Jeju Island? And how crazy beautiful is Jeju island that I keep saying it as a 'second home'? If you curious, please follow the stories of my trip to Jeju Island on my next post πŸ˜‰ all in all, for anyone who wants to go to Jeju Island, kindly enjoy the story that I will shared and don't forget to try my favorite food - Odeng (photo above) when you arrive in the Island πŸ˜†✌
